Our house was flooded in the January floods, and we have been working through the process with our insurers. They engaged EQC, who have now confirmed the issue doesn't lie with them to rectify, so I now need to get quotes for insurance. We think the issue is with one pile, closest to our front door and where the water came through under the house. There is scouring around the pile and it seems to have affected the level of that corner of the house. After the flooding we couldn't open our front door, we thought it was water logged from the volume of water that was up against it. Our builder came by to replace the door, but said the issue was actually the door wasn't hanging level in the door frame anymore, and noticed a couple of internal beams were lower than others. I can send you some photos if that is of any help? And the EQC report as that details what they noted. Hoping you might be able to come by and provide a quote?
