We have a four bedroom home in Massey which has developed some significant exterior and interior wall crack in one segment of the home. The foundations are 100 x 100 piles and I suspect that the effected area of the house is suffering from shrinkage which the footings can not cope with. I have been told by a structural engineer that we need some remediation work to reset the floor level and prevent cracking in the future. There is plenty of head room under the house to access the footings and the section has a gentle contour so access is not a problem.
