1970s sunken lounge 250mm lower than the rest of the house which flooded in the Anniversary weekend etc events. We have got building consent to fill it in by pouring a new slab over the existing to raise it up to match the level of the rest of the house. The brick fireplace (see photos) needs to be removed as part of this. Space is approx. 6000 x 4200mm and consent drawings note infill as approx. 150mm compacted hardfill, 20mm sand, polythene and 100mm thick 20mPA concrete reinforced with SE62 mesh.

We are very happy with the work done by Sam and his team. Sam provided a quote quickly and was very responsive to our many questions. They were careful to mask off/protect the surrounding area during the pour and did an exceptional job of leaving the site tidy - both highly valued qualities that many tradies seem to neglect! A few minor mixups were quickly and professionally handled and everything was completed in the agreed time-frame. We'd happily work with Coastal Foundations again.
