Hi, I have lovely wooden flooring throughout my house, but over the last year a weird thing is happening and I have no idea what it could be. My floor boards are polished, but every couple of months a patch the size of a coin appears over night where the polish had bubbled up and completely deteriorated. Within a day the varnish had crumbled away and left a spot of bare floor board. It happens sporadically and randomly throughout the house. I thought it might be dog drool or pee, but this morning I woke up and there are two new raised areas of lifted and crumbling varnish AND two of them are on separate TABLES. One of these tables is never used. They are really damaged. Is it a vomiting insect?? Or chemicals falling from my ceiling, but I checked and the ceilings are fine. Help please. I don't use chemicals inside.
