We are considering installing a hardwood floor in the Entrance, Kitchen and Dining area (Approx 50sqm) of our new home. We need the finished floor to be 20-21mm above the concrete slab to be level with the ranch sliding doors. Plans available on request.
We want to install Quickstep Impressive laminate flooring (8mm thick plus 2mm underlay) in our new Entrance, Kitchen and Dining area (Approx 50sqm). The challenge is that we need the finished floor level to be 20-21mm above the concrete slab to be level with the ranch sliding doors. Do you have experience installing a thick substrate of some sort then laying Quickstep Impressive over the top?

Our attached double garage (6.0M x 6.0M) was repaired and repainted in 2012 as part of our earhquake repairs. Multiple hair line cracks have returned all over the garage (including where they were repaired) and the paint has lifted all over the place as well. We need the cracks repaired and the floor repainted properly. I expect the floor will need sanding /grinding.

Creaking floor boards under the carpet
Hi We have particle board floors and live at West Melton. (We are preparing to lay new tiles, but not in a rush for this part) The tiles have been removed, but it has left a mess which needs fixing. Ideal time frame might be 10th October onwards. The black rubber adhesive is largely still there with some thin residue of tile still attached. So, looking to see what the cost is to have the floors sanded. ** However, the sanding process needs to be nearly 100% dust free. Access is easy...
I have access to solid wiod flooring - but would like an installer - plus someone who is knowledgable about distressing the planks and applying wax to them .... I am looking for an aged effect and weathered ..... I have wood choices of rimu, beech, red beach and am delaying choosing until I have some advice.
We are doing a renovation on a 1926 bungalow. We have approximately 62m2 of rimu tongue & groove flooring that needs sanding and polyurethane. We are looking for quality workmanship at a reasonable price.

Our kitchen was flooded which damaged a few cork tiles. Thinking of re-flooring the kitchen and part of the hallway. not sure about exact area and like to discuss. The affected area is approximately 8 m2 but will consider the whole area too.
Install, sand, stain, polyurethane, new solid wood floor. Glue down. Approximately 58sm- living, kitchen, pantry, entry.
I have a native hardwood parquet floor though 2 bedrooms and a hallway covering approx. 35m2. I'm looking to have it re-sanded (some scratches and marks from heels over time) and polyurethane applied. There are some areas which have come loose where new adhesive will be needed (min. 3m2 at a guess). The parquet is laid on a solid concrete foundation (with underfloor heating).
