We had engineered oak floorboards installed in our villa but the supplier (Godfrey Hirst) didn't have enough floorboards in stock for our installer to complete the full job at the time and so the hallway is still the original matai flooring. Our original installer seems to not be operating any more so we need to find someone new to finish the job. We have now had the remaining floorboards delivered and we need them installed: - approx 11m2 Godfrey Hirst engineered oak boards to be installed over the top of the original matai flooring (see pics - the lighter part is the old matai boards, the darker part is the new flooring). - skirting boards need to be removed prior to install and then replaced - ideally would like the flooring contractor to do this if possible. To be discussed. - the new flooring is going into a hallway with four carpeted bedrooms off it - will need the boards to seamlessly transition to carpet as per the example pic - NOT using the existing metal transition strips which were a temporary fix until the floorboards arrived. Original cost for this project was to be $800 including gst and we would like to stay under this. Would like someone who can complete the job within the next couple of weeks. Location is Devonport.
