Sand-back old faded polyurethane from wooden stairs So painter can seal floor with some clear resin hard-wearing sealant Immediate start. (nb we have sanded back the 3rd step up, which had the top coat flaking off , to show the colour underneath of the existing wood.) Finish job asap so stairs can be sealed before Christmas.
