I have just bought a new property - a 1950's house in Pinehill; and would like to pull up the carpet and bring the existing (I have been told Rimu) floorboards back to life throughout the house (approx 85-90m2). I have only managed to pull up a corner in one of the rooms thus far, so would like someone to pop round and advise before ripping up the remaining carpet. I am happy to remove existing carpet, and could potentially prepare the floor by sanding etc but will need someone to take it from there. I am a little unsure of the best look so would require a bit of guidance in this regard. Will stain or coat the floors depending on the look chosen. I am hoping to have this completed ASAP, so someone who is available to start sometime this week/weekend would be preferable.
