Job description

Vinyl Flooring
Hamilton East, Hamilton

Published on 22 May 2024

It's a small kitchen in a 1960's unit, so has a solid wooden floor. The older vinyl flooring has cracked and then broken off below the sink area. It's too much to pull up all the associated vinyl that goes into the hallway etc, so would be happy for someone to very tidily patch a plain piece of plain brown vinyl into it. I would want the joins to be hot sealed/melted to the existing pieces around it, so it's waterproof and there is no potential for any edge to lift up , maybe patch 200 wide x maybe 600 long, but depending on what the repairer thinks or can do, maybe do more or less. the cost would depend on whether we supply a remnant of brown vinyl or the repairer does. We would be happy to go to a store to find a remnant and supply it, if wished. The cut away piece and join would need to be assessed and discussed as to where it is more appropriate to cut away the damaged piece. We want someone experienced with doing this sort of thing before please. Potentially there is another small area to do also, which is just inside the backdoor. I will attach a photo of that too. Pricing would be different/potentially more if this was taken into account also. I'm open to a higher invoice if someone wishes to replace more vinyl for a reasonable price. Open to suggestions or recommendations. Thanks
