Hand dug trench
Job description
I need a trench dug in my front garden to enable my electrician to run a power cable from the house to a pond pump. The trench has to be a spade wide and 600mm deep and is 6.5 metres long. There is a rainwater pipe running under the grass and out to the road but I only have a rough idea where it is and do not know how deep it is buried. I have had various utilities people visit to identify the location of pipes and cables and I believe none of them will be in the way. The white dotted line in the photos shows where the trench needs to go. I made a start but the soil is clay and it was too hard for me!
