Wiring issue

Have recently had house re-wired but have stumbled across a problem. When turning on the bathroom lights, the lights in three other rooms go out. You have to turn the bathroom light off before flicking the switch back on the circuit board. We currently do not use the light in the bathroom and would like it back again!
