Repair blown up fuse

Our old floor lamp sparked out last night breaking off the bulb socket from the lamp. Leaving exposed wires. That wall socket has since not been working. We also have 2 recessed down lights in the kitchen to be replaced as they are fused ( not related to the lamp event).
