Hi We have recently been alerted to a power leakage in our house and require a power and grounding check. Whatever the outcome we also required our old fuse board to be replaced with a new fuse board. Recently we were away from the house for a month and our power bill recorded 210Kw. Using a power usage meter we can only record 100Kw from the appliances that were left ON. Turning OFF our house fuse box mains revealed a possible leakage as the street meter continued to record a power usage. Our house is 100years old, double storey, and re-wired 95% about 30 years ago. Power usage from individual outlets does not show any excessive power at any one outlet and, as said , only adds up to 100Kw for the month. There are 36 power outlets plus lightin,g plus 3 phase to our garage, no water heater (infinity) and gas central heating. Can you please advise 1. An approx cost for an inspection and test of our wiring (this needs to be separate as Trustpower may contribute to this cost if found to be the meter.) 2. An approx cost to replace the fuse box. This we will apply as the fuse box is old and possibly causing the problem. Thanks
