Electric hot water cylinder not working - trips the fuse

Job description

General Electrical
Wellington

Published: 14 April 2013

UPDATE - I now need to get a plumber to look at the cylinder as it looks like it may have a leak. Putting this job on hold for now - thanks to all those who have got in touch. Hi, My electric hot water cylinder has stopped working. It has tripped the fuse on the switchboard. If I turn the switch to the cylinder off I can reset the fuse at the board, but as soon as I turn on the cylinder it trips the fuse switch again. The cylinder is low pressure, electric, made in 1991. I'd like to get someone to look at this ASAP (i.e. Monday --- , or even tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon if possible). Thanks, Matt

Graeme's communication was excellent. He was very responsive and even offered me advice before I had selected him for the work. This advice was useful and timely, and may have prevented me making the problem worse. I rung Graeme in the afternoon and he was able to complete the work in the evening which was a massive help. He completed the work quickly and efficiently, was happy answering my questions and was a pleasure to deal with. A true professional, would highly recommend.
