Secondary power box (garage) fix

Our (stand alone) garage electrics have gone kaput, and a friend has identified that it’s the secondary fuse box that has blown completely. He tried replacing fuse on main box that supplied that garage box and it started again for a few mins then that blew-so he thinks something is awry with the secondary box. Keen to get opinions and quotes on what needs fixing/doing. Thanks
