Ceiling investigation

Job description

General Electrical
Wellington

Published: 5 June 2012

My apartment has suffered with fleas for nearly two years. I don't have any pets. The fleas have been formally identified as the cat flea, which lives on cats or dogs. My neighbours with pets all say it's not their pets' fault. The fleas must be coming from somewhere and getting into my apartment somehow. They are mostly found in my bathroom (not a good place for fleas to live and inhabit). About 5 years ago there was flooding from the apartments above and substantial amounts of water fell into my apartment. I suspect there are holes in my ceiling space and the fleas are dropping through the (recessed) light fittings into my bathroom and bedroom. At this stage, I'd like an electrician to take out the light fittings so that we can look inside the ceiling space. Having a mini-camera that can be sent into the ceiling space and look around for holes in the fabric of the building would be extremely useful too. Thanks

Graeme went above and beyond the call on this one! Not only did he do the work I had expected but he had suggestions to further improve things. It was very much appreciated.
