Oven problem - power flickering on and off

older F&P wall oven unit doing strange things when try to turn on. Was making an alarm type noise (like an alarm/timer but continuous sound) and now power seems to be flicking on and off (quickly) so perhaps a connection issue. Ceramic hob still working fine. Need somebody asap (hopefully tomorrow morning) to have a look.
