lounge rewire

Hi I'm not sure what I need!! But... have lived in my house for 7 years and basically the lights in one bedroom, the lounge and the hallway blow repeatedly. I'm now at the point where only one out of 6 lights work in lounge with the same story in hall and bedroom - ambient lighting is nice but there's a limit!!! I'm presuming I need either new light fittings or a complete rewire! Look forward to hearing from you :)
