Possibly faulty bathroom ceiling light

Job description

General Electrical
Wellington

Published: 30 May 2011

We have one of those combo light/heat lamp/fan things... about ten years old. The fan hasn't worked in years. The heat lamps don't last long, so we've stopped replacing them. Now the single floodlight bulb is dying after just a few hours. I don't know if the unit or the wiring itself is at fault. Either way, I figure a new unit is in order. Also, I need the power cut to the security alarm light on the front of the house. We've never used the system in the ten years we've owned the place. Suddenly the alarm went off a few weeks ago. With no shut down code, I did what came naturally... cut the power to the siren and control box. But the stupid green light is still flashing and I have no way to get at it.

This was the second job he's done for me through BC, I would definitely use him again.
