Hi I am planning to replace my bottled gas water heating system with a heat-pump based electrical hot water cylinder. This would be installed externally and replace the existing gas unit. My plumber/gasfitter has advised me to consult an electrician as it's likely we will need to run a new dedicated power supply from the switch board to the hot water cylinder. (There's an existing circuit to the gas heater unit but may not be specced correctly for a hot water cylinder) Model to be installed is a Stiebel Eltron 302L: --- This model has primary heat pump and a traditional electrical element as backup heating. Photos of the install location and switchboard included.
