Job description

General Electrical
Palmerston North

Published: 10 July 2017

I want an electric cable (buried) to a new submersible pump in a sump - approx 15 m on our property. Currently, it appears that a buried electricity cable comes from the house to our water tank (3rd photo) where it has never been used i.e. for a submersible pump. (We have a pump at the house which draws water from the tank). The cable then 'loops' (1st photo- you can see the cable arriving at the tank then leaving towards the septic tank) (4th photo). I envisage that the cable to the new submersible pump could be 'spliced' in to the current electricity at the water tank (in a junction box). The 2nd and 5th photos give some idea of the path for the buried cable). Will need a weather-proof 3-pin plug at the sump to plug the pump into. The drain-layers will be digging a trench which the cable conduit could be laid in. (Sorry this is not a very good description).

The Eltech team could not have been more helpful and accommodating in comleting this job. There was a long delay waiting for the drain-layers to complete the trench but once this was done the Eltech came immediately to lay the power cable required then completed the rest of the job soon after. Thank you
