Single powerpoint tripping RCD

Last week a powerpoint in our kitchen that controls 2 generic sockets, rangehood socket, microwave socket + fridge socket, started tripping a residual-current device switch on our switchboard. We want to identify the cause and repair the issue affecting the powerpoint, as well as diagnose if faulty rangehood (fans stopped working) needs to be replaced.
