Install kitchen extractor fan or rangehood

Kitchen extractor fan is required by Healthy Homes regulations. Stove has opening window above it. Outside wall behind stove has no soffit, so gutter fascia abuts weatherboards. The kitchen window & wall can be seen on the left side of the outside photo behind the tree and is the first floor part that sticks out. Fan could be installed in pantry cupboard wall on the right side of stove as there is a void next to the outside wall behind the pantry. Ducting could go through there to the outside wall. Void is about 30cm deep. The other alternative would be to put a range hood on the lower part of the ceiling above the stove.
