Electrical fault diagnosis

We’ve had multiple new battery-powered smoke alarms go off randomly in different rooms (including at night and in dry weather). These are not hardwired, and we’ve ruled out steam, humidity, and dust. We’d like an electrician to inspect for possible causes, including electrical interference, loose wiring, or arcing that could be triggering the detectors. Would also appreciate advice on placement if anything in the environment might be contributing.

Upgrade and install 15a Sockets

Kia ora everyone, Just have a job to 3 x 15amp sockets installed in a kitchen. We have the existing wiring in and connected to the switchboard, just need the sockets completed and commissioned. Initial sparking had them roughed in and placed in the ceiling space for future use, we now need them connected. There is some ongoing work as around our little space. Light wiring shorting breaker

A hardwired light in a bedroom is shorting the circuit breaker. It makes a big pop and flash from the ceiling/ socket when the switch is turned on. It has a vaulted ceiling, so no cavity between the ceiling and roof.
