Install rangehood, supporting shelf and exhaust vent

We would like to install a rangehood. Currently there is an existing flue above the oven which simply goes into the roof cavity. We want to vent the exhaust to an external wall. The likely best area is the kitchen wall by the sink, albeit the vent would need to go through the roof cavity to get there (c.2 metres as the crow flies, see floor plan). Rangehood mounting is tricky due to the diagonal flue space above the oven (see photos). We're open to suggestions. One option is to install a shelf at the bottom of the flue and install a powerpack rangehood. Type of rangehood TBC with you, depending on ventillation and mounting options.
