Bathroom Extractor Fans Repair

We have extractor fans in 2 seprate bathrooms that need to be fixed. They cannot be switched on as the circuit breaker keeps tripping whenever we attemp to switch on any of them. Unable to provide much details of what could be the root cuase but only assume it might be something to do with either the motor or the wiring.
