Replace outdoor electrical socket

There is an existing outdoor electrical socket that our spa pool (installed by previous home owner) is plugged into however when it rain the safety keep tripping turning the power off and you can see black marks around the holes - it doesnt appear to be waterproof. Would like to change the type of socket to something waterproof. Also open to hardwiring the spa if that is the best solution.
