Wi-Fi problems

I live in a two storey house which has concrete block walls dividing part of the house. I installed a linksys network with 3 nodes so that Wi-Fi would be available anywhere in the house. Part of the house is used as an Airbnb and has its own wifi network (using the linksys nodes). In recent weeks performance of the Wi-Fi network has deteriorated badly. For example Wi-Fi signal is shown as weak in one room even though one of the nodes is only 4 metres away!! All nodes are working. Have tried rebooting router but problem continues. Don’t particularly want to buy a replacement for linksys unless I can be convinced it’s necessary. Hopefully you’ll be able to tell me what’s wrong.
