Check safety of powerpoint outlet

Looking for an electrician to come in and confirm that powerpoint is safe to use - unplugged a power lead from the powerpoint over the weekend, and the pins on the power lead were covered in blue/green residue. Powerpoint faceplate was also covered in blue/green residue. I've since cleaned this all up, so photos don't show it (apart from a small amount on the pins of the power lead). Understand this residue can make the powerpoint unsafe to use depending on whether the residue is coming from the power lead, or the powerpoint. I'm unsure in this case. Please wear a mask. Cheers
