New 30a 1phase circuit for garage machinery

Want to add a 30A single phase circuit to the garage to power machinery. Garage is next to house with access from under - access is dry and standing below and had a full re-wire 2005 ish. When we had a heat pump installed 5 years ago was mentioned that existing switch board was a) full and b) had fewer that modern standard rcd per circuits so wanting to understand the scale of what I'm looking at to incorporate new circuit and will a full re-circuit board be needed
