Power socket behind microwave stopped working

Building was recladded a couple years ago, which included some electrical rewiring as well as getting a new electrical certificate of compliance. Today, the power socket stopped working at some point in time. It didn't go out while the microwave was running - it simply stopped working overnight while the appliance was not being used. Tried connecting other appliances to it without any success, and microwave appears to work fine when connected to another socket. No other electrical issue noted in the building.
