Bathroom Extractor fan unserviceable

The extractor fan in the bathroom of my town house has stopped working. It is not turning on when the switch is turned on. It is mounted on the roof of a three level town house. Picture attached is just of the vent, the fan is attached to the roof, which is approximately 3-4feet back from it. Timeframe for the completion of this job is until the 10th of Jan please
