Hi, I live in Eden Terrace in a townhouse complex and need to install a rangehood that I have purchased. As this is going to require changes to the external nature of the building I have sought body corporate consent. They have returned with this: Firstly, with regards to installing your rangehood, this would need to be carried out by an accredited installer to ensure that the installation of the external vent does not have any detrimental affect on the building, or the cladding warranty. Secondly, further penetrations of the cladding need to be sealed at the back of the cavity to the building wrap and sealed at the cladding. Finally, the installer would need to have in place a public liability insurance and provide written evidence of this. My kitchen sits aprox 3 stories up from the road. The exterior of the building is concrete fiber weatherboard. Can anyone help in this regard? Thanks, Travis
