Earth peg check and light transformers

We had an electrical issue with a dishwasher (small internal fire) that we have been told should not have occurred as the fuse box should have stopped the fire before it began - have been advised to get our earth peg checked. We also have a handful of downlights no longer working which may be due to the transformers - would like these checked/fixed too. Preferably this week.
