Electrician to Fix Light Not Working

The light in one of the bedrooms of my rental property has stopped working. I checked the fuses and they seem to be fine. I changed out the bulb, and that did nothing. I checked the power points in the room and them were working. This has lead me to believe that the issue is the connection to the light fitting. Other information. The wiring is old, the house is an X state house approx 1950s.
