Power Sockets and Insinkerator Wiring

Job description

General Electrical
Auckland

Published: 20 March 2013

We require three new power sockets in walls that do not currently have them. At least two should be close to existing wiring in the wall, and it's possible all three will have in-wall wiring close by. We require the removal of odd, on-the-wall (not in-the-wall) wiring that leads to a power socket, which also needs removal. There are about three feet of this wiring to remove. We require the removal of an old power socket (to be replaced by a new one lower on the wall, and on the opposite side). We require the replacement of an existing power socket's face. Finally, our insinkerator has a regular lead and plug that connects to a regular power socket. We'd like to build a connection into the wall, with a switch near the sink to activate it. The only caveat: we're planning on renovating the kitchen sometime soon, and so the insinkerator job should only be done if it we wouldn't need to redo the insinkerator wiring when we redo the kitchen (we'd keep the sink in the same place). Your consultation on this would be much appreciated. Ideally, we would like this done before Easter.
