I have moved into a place with a home cinema which I need to turn into my workspace (I work in moving images). There is existing speaker wiring in the walls but the centre speaker wiring is not complete and there is a vacant plate where it should be - so there may be wiring behind it. Also there is video composite wiring to a projector overhead but it doesn't seem to work properly. I'd like an HDMI route put in its place or alongside if possible. There is also a problem with lights dimming in certain parts of this end of the house. They dim independently and seemingly at random (ie. not when something else on the circuit is turned on or off) I don't think the dimmers in the house are very good either and perhaps need replacing. Someone with audio / video experience who can also deal with normal electrical problems would be ideal.
