Switching light switch caused a big blue light behind the switch and blew the fuse

When I turned on the light at the front door on Sunday, there was a big blue flash of light emitted from behind the light switch and a big popping sound. It blew the fuse marked "light" (switched it to OFF) and also the big black switch marked "residual current device". I switched the black switch back on but I don't want to try the light fuse or light switch again until I get it checked out.
