Rebuild cavity sliding door

Job image

Job description

Timber Repair & Maintenance
Hillcrest, North Shore

Published on 27 August 2024

Our bathroom cavity slider has been jamming for a while against the floor following water swelling the timber flooring underneath the door. This morning when trying to free the door it seems the mechanism has broken and now it doesn't slide at all. The door has also been rubbing on one side as the cavity is a bit narrow for the door. The extent of the rubbing varies according to temperature/humidity. We would like this cavity slider to be re-built so that it opens and closes smoothly and locks closed. We'd like this fixed as soon as possible so we can close the door for showering and using the loo!

Max repaired my broken cavity sliders. He did the work carefully, skillfully and at a reasonable price. He was easy to deal with and experienced with cavity sliders so was able to get the job done quickly. I would recommend Max to anyone looking for a good builder.
