Job Overview: A Window and Door Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and maintaining windows, glass doors, and frames in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role involves using specialized cleaning solutions, tools, and equipment to ensure windows and doors are free from dirt, smudges, and streaks, providing a clear and polished appearance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Clean windows, glass doors, and frames using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. 2. Remove dust, dirt, smudges, water spots, and other stains from glass surfaces. Use ladders, scaffolding, or other equipment to reach high or hard-to-access areas safely. 3. Ensure proper handling and maintenance of cleaning tools such as squeegees, microfiber cloths, and water-fed poles. Inspect windows and doors for cracks, damage, or wear and report any necessary repairs. 4. Follow safety guidelines and procedures to avoid accidents or injuries while working at heights. 5. Interact with clients professionally and address any special cleaning requests or concerns. 6. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring cleaning materials are stored properly. Requirements and Qualifications: 1. Previous experience in window and door cleaning is an advantage but not always required. 2. Ability to work at heights and use ladders, scaffolding, or aerial lifts. Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products suitable for different types of glass and frames. 3. Physical stamina and strength to handle cleaning tasks throughout the day. 4. Attention to detail to ensure a spotless and streak-free finish. 5. Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude. 6. Understanding of workplace safety regulations and procedures. 7. A valid driver’s license may be required for travel to different locations. Work Environment: 8. Outdoor and indoor work in various weather conditions. 9. Requires lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing. 10. May involve working on high-rise buildings or commercial properties.
