Deck has a hollow wall presumably made of wooden framing covered with board and plastered over. I want a straight 6.4 metre x 1.1 metre section removed and the bottom and ends made good so I can replace it with a glass balustrade. The height of the deck above the garden below is approximately 80 cms.

I didn't like the contract saying I had to pay the cost of 'materials' upfront, over $1000, when the actual materials were 4 pieces of decking. Also originally I was told that the job would take 1½ days but was charged for 16 hours even though the actual hours worked over the 2 days were less than 8 hours. I would have been satisfied with just the total price for the whole job rather than the 'itemised' version. So saying I was very satisfied with the completed job which was within budget.

"In regards to the materials charged upfront this is something, I've legally added to cover losses created by clients who decide not to pay at all once the job is completed but I will review this and perhaps remove it from my terms and conditions stated on all quotes I produce witch I'm sure you would have read before accepting the quote.
In regards to the pricing of materials, I feel that you are forgetting about the tip fees ´ Nails ´ Travel and all the extra support fitted under the deck"
