Lift existing carpet.....wait a while....put back again. Repeat several times!

Job description

Carpet Laying
Wellington

Published: 11 April 2018

Hi. We just moved into a 1980's house in Johnsonville which has recently been re-carpeted. Under the new carpet is good old chipboard flooring which is very creaky and noisy, so we want to have the carpet lifted, so that WE can screw the chipboard sheets down tight, then have the carpet re-laid as it was, at a later time. Access is easy, park your van at the front door, and come on inside.. There are 4x bedrooms and 1x hallway, sizes as follows.... 1x Brm approx 20 m2 2x Brm approx 12 m2 1x Brm approx 6 m2 1x Hallway approx 8mtr x 1mtr Ideally for me, the job would be done in stages (ie 1 or 2x rooms at a time) as I will need to shuffle furniture between rooms to make rooms empty. As this will be a multiple trip job, and there'll be a bit of coming and going involved, this job would be better suited to a carpetlayer based near Johnsonville/Northern suburbs, to keep your travilling time/costs down, and save me money! After the carpet is lifted, I'll need a few hours to screw the chipboard down in 1x big brm, or 2x small brms, but each stage doesnt necessarily have to be done in the same day. Im flexible with timing etc, so you can do your thing any time that suits you, between 6am and midnight, perfect if you have an hour or two here and there around other jobs, passing by, or on the way home etc.. If this sounds like you, dont hesitate, I look forward to hearing from you. Just to clarify, this job is only to lift existing new carpet, and re-fit it at a later time, in 4x Brms and 1x hallway......I will deal to the squeaky chipboard. Cheers.
