Door and fireplace have been removed. A patch of carpet about 1 meter square required for in front of old fire place, maybe the hall carpet could be stretched to meet shirting in hall where door has been removed. There is a large rumpus room with the same carpet that would supply the piece if we could not source new.

Could not fault this contractor. He turned up when he said he would, did an excellent repair job and went above and beyond what we expected. The cost was very reasonable.
