We have just removed our carpets and had the floor polished. We are now left with two tile - wood joins which are uneven. The first one (see pictues one, two and three) is at the top of the stairway, and the vertical tile edge is approx one centimetre higher than the wood. We would like the tiles trimmed back to be flush with the wood, and the join neatened somehow, probably by covering with a metal strip, although we are open to options. The second join (see picture 4 )has the kitchen floor tiles approximately 2 cm higher than the adjacent wooden flooring. We would like a small wooden ramp fitted, to stop people from tripping.
