Weather board repair

We have a 1920s wooden 2 storey house. We have weather board repair work that needs doing on the corners of the house (where the weather boards join). In some corners a small gap has appeared which may be letting rain in which we want to avoid. Some of the affected corners are high up so tradie will require a scaffold or tall ladder.
