I bought a timber frame house not long ago and have recently discovered that the subfloor is made of particle board. It is failing in the kitchen (most likely after a flood) and hallway areas. I've taken up the carpet, underlay and skirting board in preparation for a new timber floor but cannot progress until the subfloor has been made sound. I'm looking for someone that might want to remove the downstairs subfloor and replace it with fresh plywood. The job consists of: - Move kitchen units. - Remove current particle board. - Fit noggings under hallway wall (internal wall is sinking). - Fit sister joists along wall edges. - Fit new plywood floor. I can source the materials myself and am happy to help out with any of the tasks above.
