Remove old exterior wood box + additional work

Photos describe it better. We are getting a heatpump, so have removed the kent fireplace. Now need to remove this old wood storage box and fill in the gap from the door on both sides. The weatherboard on the wood box will be enough to cover the exterior door hole. Gib would be needed to patch the interior. Also - need to remove the flue and chimney top from roof, then patch/reroof the hole. Flat iron roof (will post photo when not so wet and windy).
