Cover void with the floor

We have stairs going from the ground floor to the first floor. There is a void between 2 floors and stairs around the void with the barrier. We would like to get rid of the barrier and cover up the void with the floor. Basically, extend the floor till the wall with the window. Please see photos for your reference. We need LBP with Carpentry.
