Rebuild Hot water cupboard and doors

We had to replace the hot water cylinder in our home and the previous owners had built it into the wall which necessitated some saw surgery to get it out. As a result we have a big hole, 2.2 meters square (approx). The cylinder is on a dodgy stand and probably needs strapping. We need to find a way to rebuild the lintel to the left of the cylinder while still leaving a way to extract the cylinder in the future, We also want to put 2 bifold doors on to make it easy to access the shelving, or sliding doors. We need the doors as well. All in all its not a big job but requires a skill set that my wife doesn't think I possess. :-)
