We have recently had our floors polished and our old (mean and damaged) skirting boards removed. We're looking to replace the old skirting boards with something better that will finish the room well. This job is to source, cut, paint and install new skirting boards in three rooms (Small dining room, large bedroom, long hallway). The boards don't have to be great timber as they're being painted a high gloss white paint (we already have the paint), but we would like something in keeping with the 100 year-old character of the home (but understand appropriate options are available pretty cheapily at Bunnings etc). We'd work with you on sourcing boards we're happy with . If it brings the quote down significantly we're happy to do the purchasing and painting ourselves. If the quote looks good we may well go ahead and get the whole house done, as well as architraves etc. So there is potential for more work out of this job. This isn't a big job so If you're interested in quoting I can send you the dimensions of the rooms to save you coming around for a visit.
